"The Taz Tree"
9x12 acrylic on canvas panel
Available through DPW gallery/auction
This painting originally had a different name, but I've been referring to it by it's nickname for a while now. So I decided to change the name to The Taz Tree. This is Morgan Esplanade - Tasmania. And I've tried to capture the light, backlighting the tree.
I also just looked for an old post on this but couldn't find it, so I'm not sure if I ever posted it before. I'm quite sure it was for a Virtual Paintout of Tasmania.
I love how the shadows play on the ground from the tree, and that touch of water at the horizon is quite inviting.

You did an excellent job on backlighting this tree, Nan. I also love the dappled shade on the ground. As always, your greens are phenomenal!
