Whitney & Dreams

"The Voice" - a tribute to Whitney Houston
9x12 acrylic on canvas panel
Available through eBay Auction

"Between Dreams"
8x10 acrylic on canvas panel
Available through DPW gallery/auction

These are 2 very different paintings, however they have 1 thing in common. They are painted shapes - one resulted in a portrait, the other in an abstract image.

"The Voice" is a tribute I painted to Whitney Houston. Say what you want about her life, but when she was "on" her voice was phenomenal! This painting is on auction at eBay at a very affordable price!

"Between Dreams" is a painting I did for a challenge on the Art Challenge Gallery group. I chose an abstract style for this painting as I wanted to NOT define the shapes. Dreams can often been vague, obscure, cloudy & dark. But they can also be bright & colorful, while still being unclear. This is on auction at DPW!

Beautiful Nan, it feels as if the second one is what she is seeing in her mind, both feel connected, loved the portrait.

Good luck with your sales, Nancie! I remember when you originally posted these. Total agreement with you on Whitney's voice.

Thank you all! Padmaja, I think you are right - the 2 paintings do speak to each other. I hadn't realized that before, thank you for pointing that out.
Thanks Sherry, she has not sold yet but she has had some interest.
