Streetcar #1059

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Previously painted in June of 2010, this was a challenge over on A Day Not Wasted. Love the reds in this - they just sing. And against the blue sky & shadows on the cars roof - they form a wonderful contrast. And just to make the scene more than just a streetcar, I left in just a part of a person boarding. I thought it gave the scene a bit more life, without making it too busy.

J'aime la lumière qui illumine votre rouge... Une jolie peinture qui donne envie d'aller faire un petit tour... de tramway!...
Gros bisous

I love how you never shy away from some of the most daunting challenges, Nancie. And it sure pays off with beautiful art works! This one is no exception. I just love the 40's or 50's style to this old trolley too.
