Another barn, more knives

Did this for the landscape challenge over on WC. I think I'm really getting into these knives - love how the paint spreads out. Light touch will just skim one color over another. But put both colors on a knife and spread it like butter - such wonderful colors & blends! This is only my second knife painting - but I noticed I've done barns both times. I must be into a barn phase - LOL.

Acrylic (heavy-body) on 8x10 gallery wrapped canvas. Edges (and my hands) are painted as well. :)

This is so beautiful, Nancie! Wish I could brave knife painting. I can't even handle brush painting! Maybe I should go back to finger painting? It works for some! LOL

Thank you both again for your kind comments.

Sherry - you should check out http://www.artacademylive.com

They have a variety of DVDs & "snippets" for sale, on various techniques. One artist, Alan Montague actually does finger-painting, and he's quite good. You'll find some of his work under "Snippets" and "Acrylic"
