Italian Villa - SOLD

"Italian Villa"
6x12 acrylic on canvas board
Available through DPW gallery/auction

I love doing vertical compositions of buildings, especially when I put them on 6x12 canvas's. It really sets off the design I think, and works wonderfully to enhance those climbing pink roses.

I also like the cool greens with the warm yellow of the building, and of course, those sharp pink blooms.

Wouldn't you love to visit there? I would love to garden in that area - filled with the scent of flowers. Perhaps there is a small table off to the right, or under that covered patio. A wonderful place to sit & sip wine and pass the afternoon. A bright, warm, sunny afternoon. Delightful!!

Bonjour chère amie,

J'aime beaucoup la composition de cette peinture. Vous avez remarquablement bien travaillé cette floraison grimpante.
Il y a une telle fraîcheur dans cette oeuvre, bravo !

Gros bisous ✺

This is beautiful Nan. I don't want to just visit, I want to live there!

Merci!
I spend much time deciding the composition of my paintings - I like to crop things to change the focus & give some items more attention. Using an unusual canvas size can help with a focal point as well.
