Golden

"Golden"
8x10 acrylic inks & washes on canvas board
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Yesterday I took part in the Art Trails with the SVAN art group in upstate NY. It was a weekend art excursion open to the public. Supplied with a map and directions, art enthusiasts traveled on a self-guided tour of the various artists & their studios.

For those of us who do not have a physical studio for viewing, we gathered in a few locations where we were "guest artists" - and we setup and demo'd our work. We also had many of our completed pieces with us, all available for sale. I was one of the guest artists at the SVAN art gallery in Northville, NY.

I chose to do 2 smaller paintings, as I was quite sure I would be stopping & restarting numerous times. I was right! We had over 75 people visit us at the gallery just on Saturday! Lot's of people, lot's of questions - and just a wonderful, fun day. (I did not participate on Sunday, only Saturday).

"Golden" is one of the two paintings I did at the center. This is done with acrylic inks & washes - 8x10 on canvas board. I loved adding color to this majestic bird and depicting the feathers with numerous black ink lines. The background is a very deep purple.

It is beautiful, Nancie. I hope you made some sales too! A great way to get your work out there for notice too!

It sounds like you had a fun day. I love this painting. The washes with the ink make this really beautiful.
