Rocky Road - revised

New reworked version

Original version

Update 6/21 - I just did a bit of rework on this painting. I wanted to punch the intensity of the color a bit and make it a bit more alive - I felt the original version was too flat. The latest version is the top (first) image, the original is second. Using only washes of Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson & Dioxazine Purple - I went over some areas. Specifically the foreground, but also a bit of the far shore & water. The sky is untouched - but you can see that the new photograph (taken in daylight with a Northern Exposure) has much better blues to it (the original was taken in a room with too much sunlight & it altered the blues I think). The new version is more true to real.

What do you think? Would love any feedback

I loved it before but that really made it pop. The water seems to have gained more life from the more vibrant rocks. I'm sure this will sell in a flash.

Have to admit, this looks even better than before, Nancie. The blues of the water do pop from the canvas now too. Just lovely.
