Let's Go

"Let's Go"
Acrylic on 9x12 canvas panel
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Originally done in October of 2010 for the VPO - this is in Guanajuato, Mexico. Roamed those streets for a while looking for a "scene" - became enthralled with the young boy, his dog, and all the shadows. I still have the original link to see this in Google maps.

I originally wrestled with leaving the adult's legs & shadows out of the painting, but it seemed to lack balance without them. I think it creates a scene where action is/was happening, and helps to make a story happen. It's up to the viewer to decide just what that story is!

Stunning light and shadow and the composition is awesome. I love this little guy's hat.
