"Battery Park"

This is an abstract of Battery Park in southern Manhattan. I took a series of photos of the gardens when they were blooming with hundreds of tulips. I loved the splashes of color everywhere, and the dappled sunlight coming through the tree tops.
It's a wonderful park where many people gather during the day. From this vantage point, I am staring out towards the water. Can you see the lines of the railing on the left? And do you see the silhouette of the man sitting on the bench on the right? One of the greatest things about an abstract is that it gives each viewer a chance to "see" their own version of the painting.

Very abstracted but gorgeous, Nancie! I love the light and colors of the tulips themselves. The tree trunks are striking, especially as at first glance, I thought they were charred and presented a neat dichotomy against the life of the flowers.
Bravo! I have been to the park, I recognized it right away. Lovely interpretation.
