Coastal Lighthouse

"Coastal Lighthouse"
9x12 acrylic on stretched canvas
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Previously painted in 2013,
this painting is now on a 1-week auction at DPW
at an affordable starting bid!

Day 7 of 365 days

Following yesterday's post of my Cape Cod lighthouse, I thought I would bring this older painting to the front again. Previously painted in January 2013, this is another painting that was inspired from a card I had received. The image here does not show the gold accent lines on the gulls, a few in the water and a few more in the trees.

This is on a stretched canvas with the image extending onto the sides. This is also 9x12 in size, so it is a little larger than my other stretched canvas pieces that I've sold at auction recently.

I have always like painting the ocean and realize that I have done too few of them. So I've added "ocean paintings" to my 2014 list - which is growing rapidly! :)

This is a dream house to me, Nancie. I don't remember seeing this one before but it sure is gorgeous. I admit to feeling a bit like a scene from The Birds with those gulls in the foreground (foreair?)...
