Do you know an artist that does ATC/ACEO's? Give them a call and tell them what a great artist they are! I just spent most of my day today attempting to make just 1 of these little art cards for an art challenge. The first 5 went in the trash. These 2 almost wound up there as well (and I'm not totally convinced they shouldn't go there). I have a very hard time working in this small size!
These are not going onto DPW for sale, as 1 or both is going into the challenge. I know that challenge's are suppose to take us out of comfort zone & let us try new things. This one left me feeling frustrated and annoyed -- I spent the better part of my day on these things without success. And what I really wanted to do was a larger painting I had already sketched. By the time I sat down to the painting I was feeling agitated. To top it off, my day light was fading. But I pushed it when I shouldn't have -- wound up with the wrong blue. Let it dry, tried to mix a different blue that I wanted. Thought I had it - but the light was gone. Put it down & no, it's not right. Tried to correct it, made mud. Long story short - I ruined it, and will need to start all over with a new sketch - if I even want to attempt it again.
Such a frustrating day. I know we all have these from time to time, but it comes on the heels of a bad cold that robbed me of days of art, and the holidays which also did. Ugh.... I have 1 day left of my vacation tomorrow. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it! Maybe I should play it safe & just read my book! LOL

Well! These are nice I especially like the pine cone.
I love them both. As for tomorrow, call your best friend and go for coffee or lunch and a walk in the park with your camera. If it ain't fun don't do it. You're on holiday :)
Oh I do love both of these, Nan. I especially love the pine cone! A day of reading sounds nice too.
