This piece is from 2010 and was done for a challenge hosted by photographer Lee A. Brown. If you have not seen his work, please click the link on his name & check out his work. It is wonderful! And each month, he shares one of his shots as a challenge for artists.
This particular one was taken during one of his trips to Italy. I loved the colors he photographed so much, I wanted to try & capture them. I started a sketch, which grew into inks, which grew into paints - well, you know how it sometimes happens. Nothing I envisioned, it just became!

Thanks Sherry. Interestingly enough, I haven't done this style on others ...... yet! When I looked at this piece again, now 2 years later, I really liked the look of it. So this piece may spark a bit of a series. We'll see!
