All Things Read - SOLD

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas panel
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Previously painted in July of 2012, this painting is now on a 1-week auction at DPW
at a very affordable price!

From the Virtual Paintout visit to Thailand, this newstand caught my eye. The red, the items, the additional colors - all came together and I had to paint it. Here's the original Google view.

I love painting with red paint. It is always so lush, so thick and covers so well. I really do need to use it more often!

I loved Thailand - exploring the streets offers so much visual stimulation. The plants, colors, busy signs - there is so much energy everywhere. Nothing seems to be dull or bland. I think it's an artists paradise. If you haven't tried exploring yet, I recommend it!

Great title for this piece! I don't see newsstands like I used to when I was younger. But they draw me like moths to flame. Wonderful!

I love this Nan. It could be almost anywhere. It is very evocative.
