Brick House with Yellow Door

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas panel
Email me if interested in this painting

Four in the series "1934 Oradell Houses" - Reserved for future show

I chose to do a more modest home this time, not quite the Victorian grandeur. And yet, it has a warmth with the brick & chimney. This particular home has a garage - something that did not exist for all homes back then. However, many of the photos I have found in the Oradell group are photos of garages or out buildings - both of which increased the property taxes for the owner.

Here is the original b/w image, used with permission from Oradell township:

Unfortunately, I can not give a link on Google maps for this one, as this street (and other sections of the town) were not mapped by Google.

For each of these wonderful paintings, include the comments from the first painting.....and why they're not for sale. Comments about the neighborhood, more of their history. Think this is wonderful series. Keep going!!!

I love this home too. Having a brick or stone home is something else that I've always wanted. Never have had one. Anyhoodles, that garage is fabulous. With those types of doors, I always thought only well-to-do people had them.
