The last owl work I did was so well received, I thought to do a couple more. I love these birds and enjoy capturing their large bright eyes. Again I did a close up shot of the face, and used acrylic ink and washes to "paint" the image. Only the eyes are actually painted, the rest of the feathers are washes using Raw Umber and Indanthrene Blue. I brought a bit of the yellow from the eyes into the feathers also, to add a little highlight under the chin.
