One Lane Bridge

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas on Hardbord
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This past September, my husband and I did a little road trip through Vermont. We explored a variety of covered bridges, which scream New England to me. Most of them were very well maintained, with pristine paint & boards. And all of them are narrow - narrow as in One Lane only! So when I saw this bridge, with it's sign, I had to paint it.

Love those lattice-y windows in the bridge too. What a gorgeous spot! I found a spot in New Brunswick (VPO challenge) that has a similar bridge and decided to do that scene. I've never painted one and wanted to give it a go.
