Morgan Esplanade - Tasmania

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This month, the VPO challenge is in Tasmania, and while roaming the countryside I found this tree. Loved how it is backlit by the sun, and the shadow cast about it on the ground, as if it were a skirt flared out. I am fascinated lately, by shadows. The original Google link can be seen here.

I'm sure I will be painting more of Tasmania, the island has quite a bit to offer - a little bit of everything which works for almost everyone.

This looks like a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy and good book! Beautifully painted dappled sunlight, Nan.
