Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet

This painting was done a year or two ago, but I wasn't satisfied with it. Then, this past weekend, I saw a similar checkered cab at an antique car show and I was mesmerized! That yellow just glowed, and I grabbed my camera for some shots.
Back at home, I took this painting out & gave it a good look over. Then I reworked the chrome better and highlighted the yellow more. I wanted it bright & shiny - I hope it has that look!

I have submitted this to the DPW challenge for "yellow" this week. It is not a new painting, but it is a reworked painting - and I count those as "new."
Don't you just love these big, old, yellow cabs?

Le travail des chromes est sincèrement magnifique... J'aime l'allure de cette belle voiture... Elle rayonne tel un beau bouton d'or.
Gros bisous
I still love this piece, Nan. I also have the one I painted and my grill work is a bit of a mess (perspective wise). Still, I remember taking a cab once when I was little with my mom and I remember these little pop up stools that were mounted on the floor between the front seat and the back. Weird memory, huh? Any old cars and a painting are always a favorite!
This is really well done Nancy! I love how you cropped it. It has so much character. I almost painted a yellow truck for the DPW challenge.
This is wonderful! I love the beautiful colors and reflections in the bumper, especially the bottom left corner. And wonderful shadings in the yellows. I just love it!
