Glads

Acrylic on 16x20 gallery wrapped stretched canvas
Available for sale through my DPW gallery

This was previously done back in 2009 and was one of my first large acrylic paintings (16x20). This photo of a large bunch of gladiolus caught my attention and I just wanted to capture their colors. This is also painted on a large gallery edge stretched canvas, with the painted image extending on all 4 sides (1-1/2 inch width on the sides). The dark background is a deep, rich purple.

Credit for the original photograph is through Wet Canvas, member Ruth (madmum) - thank you Ruth!

Il fallait bien une grande toile pour peindre des glaïeuls aussi magnifiques ! Un très joli travail outre celui des couleurs des formes de la fleur.
Gros bisous
