Let Me Call You Sweetheart - SOLD

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Done for the DPW challenge this week which is the "Paint It Before You Eat It" challenge. With Valentine's Day this week, the amount of candy that is around almost rivals Halloween. I would have painted the chocolate covered strawberries (one of my fav's), but they were gone before I could paint! But these little sweethearts do not go as quickly and I was able to snap a photo or two.

A Happy Valentine's Day to all (a day late, I know, sorry about that).

Wonderful details. I love all the pastel colors.

I curious about the canvas sheet. I bought a pad of sheets to practice on, but they aren't as fine as the ones you use. Do yours come in a pad?

Thanks Karla, I chose the colors for happy - glad it came through!

Thanks Virginia, I can never get away from doing details! Yes, my canvas sheets do come in a pad of 10. I have found different makers have different textures. The Frederix brand has the most "tooth" to the canvas, while the Strathmore brand is much finer. I've tried others as well - all are a bit different, some very bright white, a few more off-white in color. But the 2 I work with most are the Frederix & Strathmore.
