Pitcher with Pinecones

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This is one I just did for the Studio Atelier challenge. I've sent it a couple of times, but it hasn't been posted on the website yet. Since the challenge ends this weekend, it may not make it.

I had fun doing this one - I concentrated a great deal on working with a more painterly stroke, and added colors where there were none. The original photo has a brown background, but I wanted to change it around a bit - so I make it blue. (again, the blue phase I've been in).

I'm pretty happy with how this one came out.

This is very nice Nan. I like how your colors in the pitcher, repeat in the pinecones. The blue background is also nice touch.

Un magnifique travail, car il n'est pas simple de peindre des pommes de pin... J'aime également le contraste de couleurs avec le pichet.
gros bisous

So lovely, Nan. It looks as though they are all sitting on crushed velvet. Beautiful work!
