True Nature's Child -- SOLD

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This was done previously back in July of 2010 for the Calypso Moon challenge. This was my rendition depicting the word "freedom" -- the original post can be found here.

This was probably one of my most popular posts as the story I associated with this struck a cord in many people. Who doesn't remember being young, and free, and barefoot!

Reminds me of the images of the hippie movement in the mid to late 60's! Perfection!

I love this painting - it reminds me of myself. I grew up in SoCal and went barefoot all the years I lived there. Still do indoors. You really did a good job in capturing the look of grungy bare feet. : ) Nice work.

This reminds me of all those times that I told my kids (and my husband) not to be walking around outside in only their socks! Maybe I was being a bit uptight but the thought of those grungy socks inside the house on the carpet drove me crazy! Ugh.
