Summer Break

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

A new name for this previously done painting (July 2010) - original post can be found here. I like the new name because it fits the situation - how many times have we stopped what we were doing, on a warm summer day, to relax with a cool drink in the shade? I loved painting this one, and I love the feeling it evokes, even today, when I look at it. Regardless of the weather, or the temperatures outside, we can always hold onto a piece of summer with an image like this one.

Anything with greens and blues is always an instant favorite of mine. I agree with you on the nice sense of summer this piece evokes. So lovely, Nan!

I am with Julie, I can feel the sunshine here. And the painting of glass always mesmerizes me. Your glass work is amazing.
