The Royal Apple

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Posted in October of 2010, this was my rendition for a Paint & Draw challenge.  This is done in the "shapes" style, with blocks of color - a style that works so well in still life paintings I think. The leaves, their veins & shadows show so well in this style, without the clutter caused sometimes by too much detail.

I love the compositions you've created with your apple and the intense colors are great.
