The original Google view for this scene can be found here. This "path" was fortunately mapped and I travelled along it looking for a "place" to stop and paint. I found this spot, with a picket fence up the one side, trees in the background, and shadows across the path. Perfect spot, so I stopped, set up my new tabletop easel (a recent purchase I made through Karin Jurick's blog), and started to paint. On this painting, I didn't stop until it was done - I just kept painting. Lost track of time, of all other "things" - didn't fret over anything or concerns about the world - I just lived in the scene & painted. Boy, do I love when that happens!
A few words about the easel - for anyone who sits at a table (I have one next to my computer desk), this easel is just wonderful. They are created by Karin's partner Brett, and it adjusts for different angles, including a full 90 degrees vertical. The surface is flat, solid & firm - I simply affix the canvas sheet I like to use on the board, then paint. What I said to Karin is so true "It's exactly what I needed when I didn't know what I wanted." Best gift I could give to myself and I recommend it to any artist! You can access information and purchase one through Karin's blog or click here.

Your interpretation of the Jersey fence is phenomenal! I could never have visualized your finished painting from that google site. Fabulous job!
Nancie, this is so very beautiful! Gorgeous job on depth, on greens, on shadows and skies...Sigh...
You have a nice variety in your greens and I really like the picket fence and shadows on the path. I've also been enjoying Jersey. I've picked quite a few spots to paint and hope to finish one today. What a beautiful island. It's one of my favorite Virtual Paintout spots yet.
I love how much green you got in there without it seeming too much. Lush. Summertime. Nice.
Love your path, it makes me want to find out where it goes. Your trees are fabulous - I always have trouble with trees. The fence makes the scene. Really nice one.
Beautifully done. I like the spaces in the trees, they feel fresh and the shadows...nice. Great when it all just flows well for you.
Hi Nan, this does look like a place I really want to be the greens are lush the blue is just right. Really a captivating painting.
What a pleasant scene!
