Done recently for Inspiration All Around Us blog challenge. I loved the greens in the photograph and that's what sparked me to paint this. However, my greens are not as intense or as vivid as I wanted. Also, I cropped the photo into a more square format, however some of the other artists did the widescreen version and I prefer that look much better. Still all in all, not a bad little painting. But I have to laugh that the ditch has become the foreground focal point!

Nancy, I like your painting, and your different greens, the cropping, too!I did not notice those fences on the left side, and I like them.

Nancie, I think your greens are fabulous! They have taken the darker greens of summer and yet still have that lightness of lush spring grasses too. Truly beautiful.

Outstanding. I love the realness of the road. The S curve and your light pole. Nicely done.

Thank you all, your kind words make me feel a bit better on how this one turned out. I am my own worse critic, and I can nit-pick at my work it seems like forever! But I still have to laugh at the ditch being the foreground focal point. It wasn't planned, but it certainly turned out that way! LOL

Who knew when I hopped out of the car and snapped this that so many wonderful paintings would result! You have captured the feeling of the spring landscape nicely.
