Lombard Street - San Francisco

Recently done for the Virtual Paintout, this is Lombard Street - the most crooked street in America. If you haven't explored the Virtual Paintout, here is the link: http://virtualpaintout.blogspot.com/

Wonderful concept for art challenges, using Google maps to explore an area. Each month is different and all media & skills are welcomed.

Acrylic on canvas, 9x12

Having been to this street a couple of times, I am awed by how true to life your painting is. This is just out of this world beautiful. A truly great perspective. I so remember that house with the bougainvilla and it has been years since I was last in San Fran.

That bougainvilla is what drew me into the picture, and that with the angles just made me have to paint it. I haven't been out to SF in about 30+ years, so this was a wonderful way to re-visit.
