Flamingo

"Flamingo"
10x20 acrylic on stretched canvas
gallery wrapped sides with image continued
Email me if interested in this painting

As I start gathering paintings for an upcoming outdoor show (Art in the Park in October), I find I am adding more birds to the list. It looks like birds will definitely be my theme for this show.

"Flamingo" is from a reference photo graciously shared by Karen Broemmelsick, a photographer with the Facebook group I'm in called "Photos for Artists." I knew I had to paint this when I first saw her photo. I did some cropping to center the bird and to eliminate some excess items surrounding it. I am particularly happy with how the light on the water came out in this, as well as the bird. It's a striking image!

I am working on a few other large pieces for this show. Although I don't have this listed here for sale, it will be at the show. If you are interested in it, email or message me & I'll mark it SOLD at the show. (Show is October 16th, so it would ship after that).
