Hydrangea

 "Hydrangea"
Acrylic on 9x12 canvas
Mounted on foamboard
matted w/bevel edges
Overall size 12x16
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Yesterday's Snowball bush painting was so well enjoyed that I thought I'd add my other Hydrangea painting. This is a more detailed version, with much color variations -- believe it or not, this is a different bush of my neighbors. The same neighbor with yesterdays blue/purple variety.

This variety has the mauve & blue variations in color all within one flower ball. Makes for a very interesting bush when it is in full bloom.

This painting has been mounted on white foamboard, then accented with a white matt board w/beveled edges. The overall size of 12x16 will fit within a standard frame (not included). The black line around the image above does not appear in the actual piece - it is strictly the border the image box has to show how the piece will look surrounded by the matt.

Didn't know you could get hydrangeas with more than one colored blossom. Another lovely painting, Nan.
