We are forecast to have yet another winter storm here in the Northeast. This winter has been a bit hard, with a good amount of snow & ice. And some very cold temperatures as well (single digits again tonight). Ugh, hate my heating bills!
But I know that under all that snow are some bulbs that will start to sprout before too long. Of course, I'll probably have to remove the snow on top of them so they will see the light of day!
This was a painting I did in 2012 in response to a challenge to depict "spring" - and I couldn't think of a better symbol than the tulip (or daffodil, crocus, etc! LOL).
This is another painting that is up for auction for the 3rd, and last, time at DPW. After this it will be taken off line. So don't let this one slip away!

Love that classic portrait style background; just makes this purple tulip stand out beautifully.
