"Old Mill in Winter" - SOLD
8x10 acrylic on stretched canvas
Available through DPW gallery/auction

I am behind on posting, on reading others posts & commenting - and I do apologize. The recent weather storm stole any spare time I had, plus I've been spending any time I have on getting a painting-gift done for the holiday. It has turned out wonderfully, but I can't post it yet for fear the folks I am giving it to are reading/following my blog. I will post it after it has been given.

These 2 paintings are both done on 8x10 stretched canvas and are up for auction over at DPW. They were both inspired from past Christmas cards - I always seem to find a card or 2 each year that I tuck away for future art. I can't help it - the moments & feelings are so good at this time of year. But I am careful not to replicate the card, only to do a similar scene based on it. So the mountain cabin came from a mountain cabin, the mil from a mill.

Both of these date back a few years to when I first started working with acrylics (I am an old oil painter at heart, which is where I first started some ____ years ago!).  They are both up for auction at a very reasonable price for their details. They would make a nice gift - for yourself or for someone you know. Still time to get these for the holiday as I ship Priority Mail - I have made the auctions shorter than my usual to enable Christmas delivery!

Also, be sure to check out my eBay auctions - they are also free US shipping!

Wouldn't it be grand to be able to call either of these home? How amazing the mill would be redone inside as a home. And both all decorated for Christmas on the inside. Breathtaking places, Nancie!!
