It is a cold, windy night in November -- seems more like January. Snow squalls have passed through quite a few times today & tonight, leaving a dusting or more in a very short amount of time. Suddenly everything has a coating of white. It's quickly turning from Autumn to Winter outside.
Inside, the wood stove is working, burning wood - giving much welcomed warmth in the house, and an inviting glow in the room. Time to break out the boots, hats & gloves, the extra blankets & afghans, and long sleeve fleece sweaters & tops. Time to stock up on hot chocolate & soups, and get the crock pot out. It'll soon be making up batches of chili - a warm meal on a cold day.
Yep, the seasons are changing. Never mind getting ready for the holidays, I need to get ready for the winter season!

This would make a beautiful Christmas card!
What a gorgeous property this is!! I can almost imagine the horses being out in the paddock. I love the amazing beauty of winter. We've had only a wee bit of snow here so far and it didn't hang around. Now? We're into the 20's and I think it is almost too cold to snow!
