Just a note or 2.....

I haven't posted in a bit ... life has been a little hectic of late. An assortment of good things, and a few crazy ones too. A few things to mention:

The Oradell House series is still ongoing. I am trying to meet with the town historian still - we seem to have very different schedules! Hopefully that will happen next week, and we can discuss the option of displaying a few of these paintings in their history center at the library. These paintings are for sale, but I am handling them via email at this time - so contact me if you are interested in any of them.

The Sun challenge over on Artists Challenge Gallery -- Rusty who runs the challenge has informed us of a wonderful surprise. Studio 14, the gallery she works with, has asked to exhibit the 2013 Sun Art theme! I will post more on this as I know more, but for now I will say this is very exciting!! This challenge gallery will be uploaded early next week and I will post a link to it here so that you can see all the wonderful sun art for this year!

The PAWS for Charity book arrived today & it is wonderful! For those who do not know, each year Sara pulls together a group of photographers & artists who donate the use of one of their pieces for this wonderful project. The book is available through the internet, with all proceeds going to an animal shelter in Nova Scotia (Sara is from Canada). The images in this book are just fabulous. Click the link to preview the book - and if you can, purchase a copy. Also, please share the link & info!

Finally bit the bullet & bought a new vehicle! My 11 year old SUV is getting on in years and I thought it was time to purchase something new. So hubby & I went down to the Subaru dealer where I bought a 2013 Forester leftover (yes, they are calling the 2013's leftovers!). It's a wonderful vehicle and so far I am very pleased with it.

Very exciting things happening -- and I am painting also. I have 3 paintings going on (at the same time), and right now I have to chuckle. One's a concept piece, one is a commissioned dog piece and one is an Oradell home. Not only are there 3 paintings going on at the same time -- they are 3 entirely different subjects. I guess it reflects how my life has been happening of late!

Thanks all for your support & comments. And thanks for reading my blog - very much appreciated!!

Glad to see so much good and exciting news, Nancie. I've been out sick all week (couldn't even drag myself to the beloved blogs this week) so it is nice to hear of good cheer. I've always liked the look of the Foresters so am quite delighted for you!
