This abstract form is my submission to the Artists Challenge Gallery's latest challenge called "Between the Dreams."
Did you ever have a dream, but wake up before it ended? Only to fall back asleep and have the dream continue? I have had this with both a pleasant dream but also with a nightmare. It's a strange feeling - especially the bad dream. There is a part of you that knows it is continuing the dream. Such an odd sensation to be both in the dream world and outside of it!
I tried to paint the world that occurs between the waking of the initial dream, and the continuing of the same dream. Sort of a migration period.
Dreams are such a fascinating phenomenon, aren't they?
Artists Note: for those of you who love to know the actual image that was the "model" for the abstract, it is a flying woman going across the canvas - full moon overhead!

I found myself thinking about dreams and nightmares, Nan! LOL I never seem to have abstract images in my dreams; they are always so real but often times make little to no sense either. Love the colors in this!
