30 in 30 days - Day 19 - Snow Tree

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas panel
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This morning the sunrise casted a pink glow on the far shore of the lake and the mountains had a dark blue tint. It was beautiful and although I grabbed the camera, it just couldn't capture it. So I decided to paint it into my daily painting for today. I think the lilac and pink tones to the distant tree line really gives the painting a very similar glow to what I saw this morning. Now that I've been influenced by that sunrise, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more lilac/pink backgrounds.

And it is that distant tree line that immediately drew my eyes. Beautiful!

I love this one also. That background came out really well (I was surprised myself). If it doesn't sell, I may frame this & put it on my own wall!
