30 in 30 days - Day 28 - Purple Flowers

This is for this months VPO, which is visiting the Isle of Man. I got tired of painting snow - LOL! And the Isle of Man in google maps is a terrific place to roam. I found many "places" to paint, and I will probably continue painting scenes from there after the challenge is gone. You can see the original of this at this link. You will see that I changed the color of the flowers, and also left out the blue fence & gate. I thought it would make the painting too busy. 

I have been absent from the VPO challenge for a few months - between Sandy downtime, then the holidays, etc. I wanted to get back into it - tried last month but just could find the time. So I swore this month I would. Almost didn't make it, as it's the 29th now! Interesting story on that - I had found this image some time ago, and did a screen grab of it to paint. This past weekend I painted this, and was so happy to have something to send in. BUT, I never copied the link - and you can't submit to the challenge without the google link! 

Last night, I sat down & roamed around the island, hoping to find this house again. I knew it was a long shot - the original screen shot was actually a place I simply "plopped" my little man down on! But, an hour later, there it was! Found it & got the link - then sent it off to Bill at VPO (it isn't posted yet). 

This image is also for day 28 for the 30 in 30 days challenge that Leslie is doing. Only 2 more days to go on that challenge. Looks like February will be a fresh start - new VPO, and a new weekly challenge at Leslie's blog. Check both out when you can.
