Misty - SOLD

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas panel
This is the second commission I did for a friend. This little fluff ball is Misty. Always a challenge to paint a white dog (or white anything for that matter). To see the "colors" and still maintain the look of white - that is the challenge I love. In this case, it is a blue and unbleached titanium that form the shadows and creases in the look of the fur. Then add a few white strokes on top of those, and you have the look of fur with a depth to it. Love this little dog! This painting I worried I wouldn't be able to handle, but it turned out to be a lot of fun to do!
