Hay There

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

As we start the Labor Day holiday weekend here in the US, I thought I would post an appropriate painting for the occasion. This was done in 2010 for the Virtual Paintout visit to Prince Edward Island, and although it is not in the USA it does depict the labor and toil that all workers of the land do.

When I looked it up, Labor Day is an American holiday that celebrates the economic & social contributions of workers. So as we all head off to enjoy our final weekend of summer, let's be sure to pat ourselves on the back. All of us who work, who contribute, even who volunteer. We have all contributed!

A very safe & happy Labor Day weekend to all!

What a beautiful job you did on this one, Nancie. I love how you handled the shadows and I personally have a love of farming and wish I'd been born into it myself.
