Somedays, on my lunch break, I go out and walk over near the Brooklyn Bridge. It's an amazing bridge, beautiful architecture, as it stands tall & stretches across the river towards Brooklyn.

The Brooklyn Bridge is a bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. With a main span of 1,595.5 feet (486.3 m), it was the longest suspension bridge in the world from its opening until 1903, and the first steel-wire suspension bridge.
My walks near the bridge are never boring. The river is busy with it's daily traffic and sightseeing boats, and assorted helicopters fly overhead - both business taxi's and sightseeing. The area, which is not far from the Southstreet Seaport, is usually busy with tourists - many taking pictures of the bridge.
It's a great place to walk on a nice, summer afternoon - breeze in your hair. A great place to forget the worries of the day, of the times - and just feel the sun on your face. Guaranteed to make you smile.
