White House View

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

This is my painting for last weeks DPW challenge, The White House. Carol Marine gave us a link to do a virtual walk through on part of the white house. It was interesting to "walk" through the rooms, although I must say that much of the interior looked "staged" and seemed to mimic a blank stare. But I found the windows in the White House fascinating, and chose to capture the view out of the window, rather than inside the room.

It gives a great feeling of distance and intimacy at the same time. Well done.

I agree with Julie's words. Those curtains are gorgeous!
