The Watering Hole - SOLD

Acrylic on 12x24 stretched canvas
Available through DPW gallery/auction

I wanted to do an additional zebra painting - I just can't resist those stripes!  But I did this one larger, on a 12x24 gallery wrapped stretched canvas. The image does continue on the 1/2 inch sides. And I wanted to  show the reflections as well as the shadows in a unique way. The reflected images are merely shapes of the animals, while the shadows on the zebras are done in a deep purple. I thought it would make them stand out better against the washed out stone background and the blue water.

Le travail de ce groupe de zèbres est magnifique. Pour en avoir peint un jour je connais la difficulté cachée de créer ces rayures...
Les couleurs employées sont magnifiques...
Gros bisous

Nice work, Nan! I liked the first zebras you did very much too.

Really nice work, Nan. Love the black and white with the lovely turquoise water.
