Fruit abstract

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

It's funny how I now find abstract art so interesting, where before, in my younger years, I wanted nothing to do with it. But I love how abstracting an object into shapes creates an image that is both recognizable and yet, not. It lets the viewer participate, as they need to determine what they see - and don't see - throughout the painting.

Nice abstraction Nan. I love the colors.

Beautiful, Nan. Love the rich colors and the composition - and especially the 'abstract' look, which gives the painting a dreamy quality. Nice work.

Makes me want a bowl of fruit (which isn't my favorite food group) with whip cream on top!
