Sunflower Profile

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet
Available through DPW gallery/auction

Another painting that I reworked this past weekend. I enhanced the shadows and the lights, giving the whole painting more range of values. I really like how this one worked out. This painting has a very "happy" feel to it - which matches the feeling that sunflowers give us when we see them. They always make me smile!

Oh wow! I love the crispness to this piece, Nan! And yes; the sunflowers have a tendency to lift the spirits.

This painting does have a happy feeling. I realized I was smiling as I was looking at this. Lovely range of warm yellows and orange against the blue. Good job!

Thanks Sherry & Virginia. Sunflowers are just wonderful - I always get some growing near the bird feeder. Some of the seeds just seem to take route - I'm not complaining tho!
