The recent passing of Whitney Houston was a very sad event - and the loss of that voice forever is an even sadder event. Regardless of what she was doing with her life, presently or in the past, (and who hasn't battled some sort of demons in their life?) there was no denying that voice that she had. She would put so much of herself, her emotion into the songs that she sung and it would come through with her voice.
The news media has been very busy documenting her every walk, talk and stumble of late - and I think it is a shame that they do such smear journalism at such a sad moment. Not unlike some other stars, Whitney was vulnerable - she could sing her heart & soul out one moment, then ponder if she was good enough in the next. And as Kevin Costner said in his eulogy, "you weren't good, you were great!"
RIP Whitney Houston, she sings with the angels now.
