This was painted for the Paint & Draw together challenge back in November 2010. I was happy with how this turned out, with the deep, dark background setting off the lights on the fruit. I thought it all added a great deal of drama to the piece. When I had first posted this, I said it was a very rich, almost decadent, value study of reds & browns. I think that is still a good description for this piece.
