Fern Over Blue Water
Did this quick one for the Monthly Painting Challenge (November's). The photo posted was called Blue River, and it had abundant foliage around a very blue water. At one end the water showed movement, on the other end, the water was more still - deeper - and a darker blue.
I was struck by the fern frond sort of hovering over the dark blue water and thought it would make an interesting "shapes" painting. This is actually more abstract than I usually do. Just a fun painting with shapes & color!

Very interesting, unique work. I like it.
Interesting observation for an abstract and very well done!
I love your "shapes" painting!
Yes, this is more abstract with less detail, more contrast. But still wonderful. I am in love of your style! (I need to pick your brain about printing/publishing. I will email you soon!)
