The unique thing on this painting is that I worked in a style similar to a palette knife except used a brush instead. I totally enjoyed applying all the "whites" in the these flowers. I am working on a winter scene now, and I am again layering in the paints - creates a look of texture. I used a green background for contrast - really makes the red just pop!
