Central Park in the Fall

Acrylic on 9x12 canvas sheet -- ORIGINAL NOT FOR SALE
Prints available through Fine Art America

Previously posted in December 2010, this was done for a challenge over at ADNW. Lee posted this fabulous photo he had taken while in NY on one of his trips. I absolutely loved the scene and painted it in an impressionistic mode. The added person walking helps to draw the eye in, I think, as does the taxi on the upper left.

This painting is up for auction at DPW.

Absolutely gorgeous, Nan! I so love the autumn and this old brick overpass in the park just highlights the gorgeous colors of the season.

This is beautiful. I love the "light at the end of the tunnel". The walking figure adds just the right focus. Very nice.

I absolutely adore your painting. Loved the image when Lee Brown posted it as the challenge and had not one idea what to do with it....and voila? Nan paints it beautifully. Good job. Hope your basement's not flooded any more!
